Hey guys, I just received this email from my mom. She has a 2000 Explorer XLS Yesterday, I noticed that when I put my car in reverse, there is a thumping or fluttering feeling under the area of my brake pedal or where I put my left foot to the side. I don’t feel it when I am driving forward...

    10 runs of 1/0 in 2nd gen

You need a lesson in electronics. Fuses don't add resistance. There is alot more resistance in the power cable than the fuse.

Town Fair Tire - 4 wheel alignment?

So I just 4 new tires mounted and balanced today. Town Fair offers a free front end alignment. However for $50 more or so, you get the 4 wheel alignment, which they align the front wheels to the back wheels with lasers. They also said if I get the front end alignment, and not their laser thing...

4.0! Help! ME ASAP TURn it into a BEAST!!!!!!

I bought the Bomz filter kit from ebay, replaced my tubing with 3" PVC, and put on the BBK TB. Haven't swapped out the MAF out. The largest gain was from removing the airbox and putting on the conical filter. The real reason for putting on the piping was my stock tube was beat up and would fit...

Cold Air Intake for 91-94 Explorers

I bet the tires would hit that pipe too. You might be able to get it to work, but why bother when you can spend a couble bucks more for greater gains.

"Normal" rear wiper to "Intermittent" rear wiper?

Sweet 410. Anyone know how the wiring would work? My explorer is on the other side of campus, heh. Only thing I'm concerned about is the wiper fluid function.

"Normal" rear wiper to "Intermittent" rear wiper?

I beleive on all the first gens it's either on or off. With some knowledge of simple electronics circuits I would imagine this mod would be pretty easy to do. Now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind doing this myself.

    Rain makes my exp skittish...

The truck should be in auto 4x4 by default. There is no selectable 2wd. When it detects the rear tires slipping, the front axle engages automatically. It probably would not be a bad idea to put the 4x4 through it's paces to make sure it is working properly.

    Rain makes my exp skittish...

I would just accelerate less. Are you 4x4? If so, auto 4x4 should kick in when you rear tires are spinning, therefore giving you more traction.

    4x2 for a 4x4

You might consider keeping your 4x2 and adding a locker, which may be better than 4x4 in some situations.

    aftermarket heated seat inserts

I take it you just slip this on top of the cushion, right under the seat fabric? Does it change the feel of the seat at all?
