    The bolt (I think it's a 13mm bolt) holding the tensioner/bracket assembly is in the recessed center of the spring housing (left side of the picture) shown in this picture. (keep in mind, this bolt may have left-handed threads):

    It's pretty safe for most rubber and plastic parts. Another good adhesive/tar/gum remover is Goof Off (brand-name) and most other Citrus Oil/Orange Oil based cleaners except for the hand-cleaners. They don't usually work that well on adhesives because they are too mild.

    Welcome evan. Do the blinkers turn on and stay on or are the lights dead, both front and back? do the turn indicators in the dash light up for either or both sides? if everything works on the right but not the left, (or visa-versa) it could be your multi-function switch (The turn signal stalk)

    The pump can run but still not pump enough fuel to the fuel rail and injectors. You can often rent or borrow tools like a fuel pressure gauge at most auto parts stores like Autozone/O'Reilley's and so on...

    Hi and welcome bigj, you might also check the blend door, there are a lot of posts in the forum for how to fix that. I am pretty sure most times I've heard of that issue with the 2nd gen Explorers.

    Both Scotche and Metra work but I think the Scotche have a better finish to the mounting kits. BTW you can also find the Metra and Scotche install/dash kits as most Super-Walmarts back in the automotive section.
