Turn Signal/ Blower Motor/ Rear Defrost Issue

you need to systematically unplug anything on that fuse/circuit until it stops blowing fuses. Try to unplug the rear defrost, put a fuse in and try it, etc until you find the component that's shorting out. good luck.

    engaging 4x4

well first things first, decide what is more important, a functional 4x4 or a booming stereo. I'd disconnect the amp temporarily and see if that changes the scenario. I'm thinking your electric shift motor is bad. Search around, you can fix it yourself. I wish I had known this, I removed...

$500 towards a new Explorer for anyone in these 4 states with a 91-00 explorer

fine print always gets you. what they ought to do is find the folks who drove on those tires for thousands of miles unaware (like myself) and give them a trophy and a check. I went to get new tires at a tire and wheel shop and the tech told me of the recall. I probably put 30-60kk miles on...

Need an Auto Transmission in Charlotte NC area

if that trans does not work out have a look on www.car-part.com it's a database of auto recyclers and I was just pricing 4x4 auto trans there and saw some as cheap as 350-400 dollars. I've had good luck getting parts thru that site when need be.

the saga continues- will my 93 X auto trans fit a 94 mazda 'jo?

yeah I am kind of weary of putting my trans in just based on the fact I know it has 200k miles on it, but it has always pulled strong and never leaked. I'd like to do a manual trans in the navajo but that would have to wait. The idea here is to buy the truck and get it mobile on the cheap, I...

    Re-Fuel Pump 93 Explorer

there's a little trick listed in the chilton's manual that shows you how to jumper a connector under the hood to ground to run the fuel pump- are you familiar with this? I can scan the page if you'd like. I'm wondering if the fuel pump relay is bad?

the saga continues- will my 93 X auto trans fit a 94 mazda 'jo?

Hey guys- I am very excited. I just worked out a deal to buy a 94 mazda navajo in really nice shape next weekend. Runs like a top, everything works, 4x4 seems to work, etc. The truck has zero rust and the the body is straight as an arrow. It's sport 2 door- looks identical to my 93...

good luck wolfnutts- I feel your pain! Get some cobalt bits in increasing sizes, will be a piece of cake ,unless you broke a bolt extractor off in there :) I got the upper and lower off again last night and called it a day. Later today I'll remove the head and pray that I can use it and...

well guess what? I broke off ANOTHER #4 bolt extractor in the old spark plug today. SOAB! So I'm going to take the upper and lower intake back off (yay) and try to pull the drivers side clyinder head off. I've never had an engine that far apart before, so this is getting interesting. I...

need serious HELP! and advice- fuel system/ pressure problem?

with as rusty as the truck is I do not even want to think about removing the cylinder head. I'll get that plug out, fill the cylinder with oil and use an extractor to suck it out.

    Found a dead mouse...

I've read that fox urine (available online and at bait stores) will keep just about all rodents away. I have posted a pic on here a while back of a weasel or mongoose that had nested in my hood and died. He chewed my heater blower wires...

need serious HELP! and advice- fuel system/ pressure problem?

you know bluexp- thanks for posting that. I have this way of going at things in a less than logical manner and starting with a sharp tiny bit and working up drill bits until I can use the extractor sounds like its worth a shot. I was trying to bore a 1/4" or so hole in a piece of hardened...
