I am tuning up my xploder and want to change the plug wires out and i see they go under the upper intake, is there any easy way to get them out and back up under there or do you have to pop it off? Anyone got a good link to doing the plug wire swap on that side of the 4.0efi?

I'll look under the hood and see if it tells gapping. I figured i would ask what plug #/gap other people are running first. Thanks..

Thats just what a guy at a rinky dink shop told me it was. I tried to get my doorlock fixed there and i asked him to take a look. Ive never had a fan clutch go bad in anything i dont guess. Could it cause the fan to run nonstop or is it something else causing it to??

ukexploder - i didnt ask for smart ass comments so you can keep em to yourself. i never said i want a 10 sec. explorer did i? this thing is 160hp and a total slug. A 55hp stock increase switching to a 5L is a big improvement then you can do a little and make it somewhat enjoyable for a SUV...

I just realized its an OHV so thats prob one good reason why my mileage is sucking. I cleaned everything today and ran some fuel system cleaner thru it, hoping it will help a little. I guess im gonna sell it this summer and start looking for a 5.0 4dr :D

Just realized why its so slow. Its a 160hp ohv =-( Oh well I guess Ill be selling this summer and looking for a 4dr 5.0 model. :D
