Well guys, I really wanted to go with you, but the truck just isn't ready yet. I am going to try and make the Arizona trip, though. --Sean

    ? About Explorer Express

I am one of those people that would rather pay a little extra for outstanding customer service and help a small shop, than pay rock bottom for bad customer service and help the big guys out. Especially when all I am to them is a name on thier computer. John is an excellent person to work with...

    U HAUL AGAINST EXPLORERS!!!!

I think you guys just gave me a news blurb to run in Truckin' and Truckin's SUV that I am working on this month. Power of the press. ;) --Sean

Speedometer Sticking after guage face install.

Simple to fix. It is not the face that is too high, it is the needle has been pressed too far on the post. Just reset the needle a little higher and the problem will be solved. --Sean

    Silverado Canyon

It's fun during cold winter storms to go up there when it is snowing. ;) I've done all those trails many times. --Sean

    Supercharged 4.0L SOHC

Metal Guage Bezels vs White guage faces?

Re: Questions Just e-mail Jason at US Speedo, I am sure he can answer any questions you have, and I am sure they will work on an Explorer. And I love them, the only time it is hard to read is at dusk, but otherwise they were a great mod IMHO. --Sean

I WANT A HUB CONVERSION KIT FOR MY SPORT TRAC!!!!

Honestly, I gave up on the swap for now. Just not enough resources out therewho had any clue as to what I was doing. Ideally it would be perfect to find a '98-'99 complete left and right spindle, then I could just transfer all the parts over to my spindles. This is a project I still want to do...

I just sold a brand new set I had. Yay for Classifieds! --Sean

Sign Up Here: KillerAxles front locker for 2nd generation.

I bought the Powertrax, then removed it because it spit out axle shafts since there is no relief on its splines to capture the C-clip. If someone is going to offer an honest to God, engineered for out vehicle, front locker I will buy one. But I don't want to make the mistake of buying something...

    TRUCKHAVEN 2004!!! Jan 17-18

I am hoping to have things done in time. In the next three weeks I expect to have the new RCD brackets, custom length CV axles, and limiting straps... There is so much new and different over last year, I don't know where to start, but I have 4.56s now and the new Bilstein 5150s in the rear...

    Turbo Explorer

I don't know what the latest is, but he hydro locked it on last springs Arizona trip. We had to tow it off the trail with Dustin's Bronco. --Sean

The difference between 4.0L OHV and SOHC

That is correct, I was waiting for someone to pitch in on this. As a matter of fact if you were to break down the 4.0L SOHC block, you would still see where the pushrods would go in OHV applications. --Sean

    What's wrong with wanting 17's?

Thanks Jeff! :D They are one-piece forged Centerline Stingray IIIs. I wanted a good looking rim that would still handle the abuse off-road. --Sean

    transfer case

    You are correct, sir! --Sean

    Yawn...

Yeah, no one is ever around in here. --Sean

    What's wrong with wanting 17's?

Nothing wrong with 17s. I have 33 on 17 for the street and day trip off-roading, but swap to the 33 on 15 Muds for the trails that might cause serious damage. --Sean

    Interesting discovery - Ranger/Explorer 8.8"

We have a bunch of info on this on ORR, but the Explorer is actually 1.5-inches wider. Also, the Ranger springs mount above the axle, not below, as on an Ex and the Ranger 8.8s are 28T, not 31T, like a Mustang or Explorer, unless you have an FX4, then you have the South American Ranger 31T...

Metal Guage Bezels vs White guage faces?

Oh yes, one of the reasons I bought my FX4 was the all black interior, well that and the Torsen, and the manual t-case and shifter, and.... :D --Sean

    Arizona Run March 27-28 2004

Hey guys, I'd like to make it out to AZ again this year. I should have the mods finished to my truck by this trip and would love to test them out with you. ;) Just let me know! --Sean

    TRUCKHAVEN 2004!!! Jan 17-18

Hey guys, I am hoping to make it for at least a day, maybe the weekend. I am getting limiting straps next week and I just sent my spare set of CV axles out today to be lengthened. That should be the end of problems. Plus there have been a few suspension chnages since last year, in the rear as...

I scraped off the white on my Ranger and painted the needles Grabber Orange with model paint. Came out awesome. --Sean

Warn FORD EXPLORER Hub Service Kit

It is basically an auto hub rebuild/maintainance kit. It gives you a bunch of little parts that are wear items in the hubs. On my '94 Ranger, I used the kit twice in 60,000, generally every other wheel bearing repacking and my hubs always worked better. I was religious about front end...
