    DeRocha's Door Hinge Pin Replacement w/pics

    Thanks to the forum I replaced my pin in 20 minutes. Here is what I did: Propped door on bucket, used long drill bit to drill top of pin down. Chisel and hammer to knock out remaning tip of pin. sprayed wd40 on hinge and old pin...knock it out with a long skinny screw driver and hammer...

    '94 Xlt check engine light when cold

    Just a guess, on my 94 it was the oxygen sensors (2) that are screwed into both exhaust pipes...I think before the catalytic converter. Light went away after sensors were replaced. Good Luck on yours.

    Don't mean to sound stupid, but it's my accounting background that I am being so **** and detail to understand. Do you mean I will get 12+ on both sides of the switch at the same time or only when I switch to lock (12+), than to unlock (12+)?

    I think I understand...have tolet it sink in a bit.. To me, sounds like the switch to the locks are all based on the neg. or ground...and if this is correct, what reading should I be getting at both sides of the switch as I select Lock and Unlock?

    I am getting power before and after the switches, I also checked power to the driver side moter and had power to one of the wires. Don't really understand the neg. polarity..should I show power to both wires going to the motor? Also, I replaced the driver motor..which still does not work.

    I know you issue was long time ago..but did you ever find out what the problem was? I have identical issues but for one difference...the passenger unlock works for all doors..that's it!! Nothing else works..even the remote does not unlock/lock the doors.
