Was there ever a manual transmission Explorer or Sport Trac produced? If so what years and models? I'm seriously considering a 5-speed manual swap and need a clutch pedal assembly to start with so I don't have to custom make something from scratch.

I see conflicting reports on what transmission we have, either a 6r60 or the 6r80. Does anyone know for sure what trans we have in 08 sport tracs? Is there a tag on the tranny I can look for to identify it?

Are all Sport Tracs with a 4.6 3v a cast iron block, and the standard Explorer has the aluminum block? Is that right? I know the previous gen 04 explorers got the aluminum 2v block, and the mustangs now have the 3v aluminum block. Seems like the extra weight drop would be ideal for Ford's...

Has anyone experienced the interior lights not going out when you start driving? Or coming on sporadically while driving? I think I have a bad door sensor... when I reslam my door after the truck is started, the lights go out inside. Then once I shut off the car, get out, and back in again...
