    great MPG to Bad MPG

I dont think its his alternator causing bad milage, if it was that bad his battery would probably be dead by now. I would do the normal tune up things if you havent done them in a while. Plugs, wires, air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, clean MAF, make sure tire pressure is good, etc.

    Digger get BL on 95X!

Truck looks good but it makes me think of a new genre of 4x4 rice. Too many goofy stickers and those rediculous (no pun intended) nutz.

    Tires Cupping

Less than edelbrocks arent they? I think the oem replacement bilsteins are like 50 bucks arent they? I have no idea anymore...

    2002 alignment problem

I would keep taking it in until they get it right. If they dont or cant, i would try and invoke the lemon law.

    Tires Cupping

Blown shocks can cuase a tire cupping problem, if the rest of your suspension is good and the tires are balanced then new shocks might cure the problem but at 95k miles on them, you'll probably be doing yourself a big favor for getting new ones anyways. Your ass is gonna thank you when your...

    2002 alignment problem

Be sure they are setting your running toe correctly. If i remember correctly your tires will have a tendency to pull away from each other during operation and it requires a slight adjustment because standing toe will be slighty more negative than running toe

    Abs System

I highly doubt that the 31s were the cause of that failure. Under normal braking conditions, none of your ABS system is operating. The only time it does it anything is when it senses lockup, so chances are unless you go around mashing your brake pedal to the floor and locking up your rear...

Sudden FAST idle in an SOHC

IAC went bad on my ranger and i didnt get a CEL. It sounds like what happened with mine too. I just hopped in it one day, started it up and it was idling at 2000.

    Explorer rear speed sensor

The speed sensor is in you rear differential, its used to calibrate wheel speed for vehicle speed and for ABS operation. Its called the rear speed sensor because you also have one on each front wheel. I think...

Are they trying to rip me off?

If that inludes tires/wheels i would say thats a fair price to lay frame.

Quick questions regarding ignition w/security system

About the key, im pretty sure it can handle being submerged.... Last time i was out at havasu i ended up jumping into the water to fetch a frisbee someone tried to throw to our boat. I had my entire set of keys including the keyless entry remote in my pockets at the time. I was probably in...

    Fuel Injectors

I would check the easier stuff first, like your plugs and wires and stuff. Then try a bottle of injector cleaner. If that doesnt work you might want to have someone do a pressure drop test on them.

    Surging at Cruise

I dont think thats an egr problem. The egr is normally open under those conditions anyways. If it wasnt opening you wouldnt notice a power increase you would just likely fail emissions on NOx. When you say its not the cruise control do you mean that cruise isnt on or you know somehow that...

    Surging problem

The fuel pump relay is in the box along with the other fuses. Im not sure which one is the for the fuel pump though. There should be a little map on the top of the relay cover which says which fuses and relays are for what circuits.

    Monroe shocks?

I have bilsteins in my my truck and they ride great, but on they wont make your truck sit any higher. A common misconception people have is the the wieght of the vehicle is supported by the shocks when its actually supported by the spings (torsion bars in front, leaf springs in back).

    Surging problem

Since you said you heard clicking, my wild shot in the dark guess would be a malfunctioning fuel relay.

CHIEF Is Almost a 302!!!!!! 91 XLT SAS In the process of 302 and T-5 Swap!!

Wow, i wish i was at home instead of off at school so i could come check that thing out. A little too much lift for my tastes but i definately like the 5.0. Sweet job so far man i look forward to tackling this same project in about 2 years when i graduate. Keep posting pics!

    ExplorerEB96's X under the knife

Most serious off road places such as camburg wont put anything other than grade 8 in thier stuff. If grade 8 can stand up to the abuse thier kits are made for, i think it can handle a little stupidlift.

Does anyone make sway bars for the New Explorers?(02-03)

They work pretty much like a torsion bar. Its made of spring steel and as the body rolls one end of the bar bends down and the other end bends up. This makes a twisting force against the direction of the body lean.

    Alignment Problems!

I just did an alignment on a ranger with i-beams that needed the new cam bolt. The bolt cost 29.99 and took 10 minutes to install. Those measurements are good but theyre not terrible either. The car might pull a little to the left and it will wear your tires a bit faster. My advice would...

Are you talking about your transmission output shaft? Your post isnt very clear, if you want any help you should probably re write it with some more details.

    i wanna go prerunner

I just had my explorer up on a frame lift today and i got about one inch of down travel, maybe less. Makes me hate my suspension even more. If you want to do anything serious, youre going to need a completely custom suspension designed with lengthed arms. Youve got to ditch the torsion...
