Who is running 285/75r16 on their gen3? More specifically with the 4.6 and 3.73's? Im on 265/75r16 now and thinking about moving up. Wanting to know how much its going to screw my highway mileage and my towing capabilities.

Housings and carriers are all different. Any gear set (ring and pinion) from a Dana 30 will work in the front you just have to use a super 30 install kit (bearings, shims etc) instead of a standard dana 30 kit. Some came with 4.10's but very rare, they are slightly more common in the the 06-10...

Will the front diff assembly from any other Explorer or Sport Trac or Ranger bult right into the front of the gen 3? I know its way more common to find a Sport, Sport Trac or Ranger with 4.10's.

Looking at gear options for my '02. What other Explorers/Rangers used the Dana super 30 front diff assembly that will bolt right in? I know some of the Sport Tracs and Rangers came with factory 4.10 gears. If i can find one of those complete assemblies I can swap that in and only have worry...

More concerned with wear and tear. At this point poor mileage is inevitable. Yes they did do factory 4.10's, pretty rare, axle code 42 is open 4.10, code D2 is limited slip 4.10. After the suspension lift, the down travel is not great (obviously) trying to gain a little more "reach" with the 33's.

Interesting, I thought I knew just about everything on the gen3 but I didnt know they came with a factory 4.10. My day job includes going to a lot of wrecking yards, now I have a new mission!

Swapping the entire diff would be the ticket except Im pretty sure that all the V8's came with the limited slip and 3.73 gears. So Im not going to swap to a open diff with 3.55 and then have to re-gear, because I have the 4.6 with 3.73 and limited slip.

If you brown wire mod your xfer case that would pretty much solve the neutral issue. I drive around 99% of the time in 2 wheel drive thanks to that.

Anyone use any of the Powertrax products in the front diff of the gen 3?

Will the Spartan locker fit in the Ford limited slip diff carrier?

3rd gen Sport seats installed in my 3rd gen 4 door. Not a bolt in, but worth it, so much more bolstering, and the foam is more comfortable too. Having trouble getting any pictures on here.

Swapping the front seats in my gen3 to seats from a gen3 SPORT. its going to be a pain but Im going to make it work one way or another. Anyone else done gen3 front seat swaps or seen it done?

Will any underdrive pulley kit for a SOHC 4.6L work?

Theres got to be a manual transfer case that will bolt to the 5r55 right???? Obviously youll have to cut a hole in te floor (at least) maybe a drive shaft mod but that stuff is easy. Anyone......???
