It plays through the speakers, I have the same unit. It may be that the front system does not know that the rear system exists.

Did you try replacing the spark plug? If that is fine do a compression test just to make sure the cylinder is good. It could also be an injector. Is it an 8 or 6 cyl.

I have not replaced my radiator but you should not need to remove the ac lines. Yes you do need a special tool to remove the trans cooler lines, this I have done. The tool is cheap under $12.

That sucks! Why was the evaporator trashed? The worst part of having an A/C compressor grenade is if the system is not properly flushed the new compressor will fail very soon. Make sure the filter dryer is replaced.
