My voltage gauge just went kaput! Still starts and runs fine, but the needle is pegged to the left. No problems prior to this, so do the gauges croak like this, or is there something I can check before replacement? (voltage reads 14.2 at idle, which I think is good) Thanks

Just smogged my truck, and my CO was JUST under the max limit of 0.68 (calif.). The smog tech said it might be the O2 sensor, which he recommended changing every tuneup. I have 120k, and running strong, and I know the sensor has never been changed. Any thoughts? Thanks!
