I painted my trim and bumpers black with cheap paint though, its already messed up on the plastic parts lol

sounds like it could be a possibility. you could always test the button for continuity with a multimeter. I'm not 100% sure but if i remember correctly when I had one of my relays out the light on the button did not light up at all

thanks for all the input I checked all of the fuses under the hood with a meter and they all showed 12v with the truck off so I ran a wire from inside my truck. Every thing works great, I'm really happy with the new fan :)
