It looks like the check engine does not light unless cranking, then lights up. I do not believe the pump is priming when ignition first on. I’m kind of suspecting the fuel pump as being the culprit but the check engine light thing is confusing. Thanks for info, I will have a look later today...

Me too, Was also comparing my first gen engine to the 2.3 EcoBoost Much more power in the EcoBoost, it’s amazing how far engines have come, in the two door this might not be too bad..

Apparently the insider had this to say about the interior: "All of our early production-intent prototypes have interior plastics like that. They are missing the final texture and as a result are very smooth and shiny. Don't worry, the production vehicles won't have plastics like that."

10 years since axle swap? Whaaat? Pretty sure it's ten years this summer. Was out on weekend and my driver's side bearing on the 9 inch rear end came apart and the axle started to walk out of the housing. So I will have to replace those BEFORE they go. I reckon ten years was a good run on them...

Hi Jon, very cool that you found sport panels, thery always seemed hard to find. I would say you need all three of the pieces you showed in the photo. Your rust is extensive, and you should have a good look to ensure the panels will get it all. I am concerned about your body mount points too...

The label said replaces Mercon 3, and Castrol website says slightly different that Dexron V but compatible. Apparently Mercon is unavailable now? Anyway I put it in there, after reading up a bit more, couldn't really find anything definitive on it though.

Hey, got some tranny fluid today to change it out in my manual '93. They gave me Dexron -V1 I never heard of that before. Just doing my due diligence here before I change the fluid. Can't seem to find reference to it on the site. Ummmm... Is it backwards compatible? -do I have to worry?
