    Akcrogers' 92 X - Lots of Pics

I'll work on getting these pictures back up again, I keep changing hosts :( Just finished installing a new starter after the last one pooped out, and finally got around to doing the superunner steering, makes a world of difference, wish I had done that earlier.

I bought several Superrunner Steering components from him. Great transaction, items look great, just as described. Thanks a bunch.

    Akcrogers' 92 X - Lots of Pics

Sounds good, although I'm taking it kinda easy right now. The front springs are starting to sag pretty bad (stupid ranger springs), so I've been trying not to drive it too much until I have the $/time to replace them. But we'll have to do a run sometime for sure.

    Akcrogers' 92 X - Lots of Pics

Sorry that took me so long. I totally forgot about it, and then just got busy.... But they are back up now! I've been wheeling a good bit this winter, so I'll try to get some shots of that up too.

    Alaska Explorers

Wow, haven't posted here in a while... I could probably burn down to Anc for a weekend this summer if you were going to do a run. I need to get the real superlift springs so the alignement will stick, and then I might try to add the superrunner steering, before the beast is ready for that...

the official "how jealous of h2s are the offroad guys"? thread

One of the ladies at my work has one. Actually its her husband's, but she drives it occasionally. I'm pretty sure it was his midlife crisis type thing. He actually takes his offroad though. He has been down to anchorage two or 3 times for H2 meetups, one of which was a 'learn how to drive...

    THE BEST McGUYVER EMERGENCY KIT

Its really not that bad of a drive. I've made it 4 times. The roads are all good, and this time of year all the gas stations are open, so you've got a station every 50-100 miles. The whole road is paved, so all those people who tell you horror stories are just people who have made the drive in...

Need some real reccomendations for mods!!

I'm not the biggest fan of SCs either, but I'm leaning more towards that rather than a 302 for HP upgrade. I haven't found a way to work around AK's emissions laws for putting a 302 in the X :( Everyone I've talked to says it can't be done here. So that leaves the SC as pretty much the only way...

Need some real reccomendations for mods!!

Oh come on man, with that $ you could join the straight axle club, and supercharge you x and still do a bunch of the other stuff. Emphasis on the sas though. Then I could buy your extended ra.

    No more AC ! :D

Yeah, I was thinking about the air compressor deal. But all X mods are on hold while I save up for the 35s and gears. Sooooo thats why a serp belt that just bypasses the ac for now seemed like the best idea.

    Akcrogers' 92 X - Lots of Pics

Thanks guys, the X is purring right now, it loves all the compliments. The rear spoiler is a Lund Windjammer. you can find them on ebay occasionally, but check Lund's website for dealers in your area. The light rack is actually a clamp-on "Q-Tower" Yakima roof rack. It used to be one of...

    No more AC ! :D

First off, Glacier, I read all of your warnings in hundreds of other AC posts, but I live in ALASKA, there are only a couple of days a year where it would be nice to have AC, not enough to make me want to pay the arm+leg to have my AC redone right. Black AC death was a risk I was willing to...

I CUT THE ROOF OFF, ROLL CAGE AND RINO LINER IN NEXT!!!!!

[off topic side story] Heh, I almost got arrested in Yakima. I drove through there in a motorhome in 99 with two friends. We graduated from highschool in 98, saved all of our money, and set out to snowboard in January 99. Our normal deal was to stop in Safeways and other big parking lots at...
