1995 Ford Ranger STX 4.0 only 124k

Hey guys, i recently found a 1995 ford ranger stx 4.0 5 speed manual 2 wheel drive truck and i was wondering if there are any common problems with these engines. I have a 94 xlt with the 2.3 and i have 250k on it. was wondering if i can expect the same kind of mileage out of the 4.0? I take very good care of my vehicles as i do all the repairs since i grew up wrenching on cars as it was my dads business. Any thoughts?

The 4.0 OHV is a GREAT engine! I have over 300,000 on mine, with the only work needed in the 20 years that I've owned it is a lower intake manifold gasket a few years ago. There's a few members here that have over 400,000 miles.
How many miles on the new Ranger?
