Chrome alternator/pan/dipstick/coil
Be Cool Aluminum Radiator
High flow water pump
-AN fittings and braided hoses throughout

Drivetrain/Suspension
T-5 manual transmission

The car is currently at CJ Pony Parts in Harrisburg, PA being torn down to have the body restored. It goes for media blasting on Tuesday.

Jeff, two questions:

(1) How much ( $ ) do you have in that motor?
(2) What is the body work costing?

Thanks ..........

That car in the first few pics looks familiar. I think part of my necks is on the seat from Jeff having a little too much fun with it.

Schweet. So what kind of numbers do you expect, power wise?

That's great Jeff, kinda reminds me of a certian 65' convertible last year!

Thanx for sharing and please keep us posted (more progress pics)

Last years 65' Vert project

P.S. on the way here in a week or two I have a Vette restoration project arriving. ;)

P.S.S. Are you going with the Flaming River manual steering or the regualar steering box (4 turn hopefully)?

I'm expecting about 320hp out of the motor. We ran the car all last fall and winter with it, and I'd say my guess to the hp will be pretty good. It will be dynoed and tweaked after the restoration.

We're keeping the factory power steering. The car came with a bunch of factory options that make it kinda unique, so they stay. It has factory air, factory power steering, a factory remote trunk release, and the long console.

BTW, for anyone wondering, this will NOT be a trailer queen!!!!!! It will be driven daily (as long as the pavement is dry ;) ).

What all have you done to your engine? I know the Hipo's came with 271 hp. What kinda parts did you, or are you going to throw at it to get 350 hp? Also good choice on keeping the power steering mine is a ***** tryin maneuver at creeping speed.

I still remember when I picked it up and tried to load it on the wrecker... I was afraid to touch it for fear of a scratch...

NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Augh, it hurts to see it in that shape but it has to be done, right? Damn thing was so clean I didn't think it had any rust on it, lol. Did Sue or Rachel come up with a name for the old girl yet?

WOW. It's been nice knowing you, Jeff

Susan, can I have the Mach after his funeral???? :D ;)

Well, I'm still writing, so Sue hasn't killed me yet :p .
The car is back from media blasting, so here are some more pix. The frame and a lot of the metal is good, but some is a little rusty/dented. We're going to have the following unibody sheet metal replaced: Both quarter panels, floorboards on both sides, right front battery apron, left front strut rod bracket, trunk floor, left rear trunk upper corner.
