I finally got tires of looking at my round 2 ½ inch pipe exiting under the rear bumper and decided to install a stainless steel “exhaust “tip”.

I chose to use a 2 ½ inch inlet x 3 inch angled cut exit tip for the installation.

I tool my Sawsall and cut off 5 inches of the exhaust pipe, slid the new tip in place, and welded it on.

I think it looks better than the plain round pipe that was previously there.

that looks real nice..very clean

Great Mod Al. Might look a little better if it was closer to the bumper tho, just my opinion

Looks nice. How about a picture from farther away though?

looks good!

I think the smoothness of the SS will add 0.05 mpg over the stock pipe!

Looks good! Did it give you any horsepower??

just kidding.

I like the lights under your bumper.. are they wired independantly with a switch? or do they tie into the reverse lights?

The lights illuminate only when the truck is in reverse; no separate switch.

Nice looking. I'm inspired. How long is the tip and what was the cost?

Looks good. Looks very similar to mine, it might even be the same tip. The only thing different is that min was routed to the side by the muffler shop that did my cat-back.

A few more pics .......

I'm a certified welder (job) and it does look nice IMO. It's easy if you take your time. Almost all mufflers shops always do shotty work because they rush on everything.

Beau, chains such as Mienike may do shoddy work, in and out agreed.
My guy runs the best beads in the biz, no slag, paints all his welds with aluminized paint when done, invites you to look at the work before it comes off the rack, your comment that all muffler shops do shoddy work is not true, some do take alot of pride in the work they do

You're right. I forgot to put "almost" in front of it, but it's fixed
