    Fuel Pump Replacement

So my fuel pump has been screaming and wining to be replaced for awhile now and it’s time to do it. I will be dropping the tank not making an access hatch and I do know the basics just from videos and watching people but specifics with this truck no. Just know it’s a rust bucket and I would like...

    1999 Explorer Fuel Pump

Unfortunately it’s fuel pump time. I pretty much know how to do fuel pumps but I’ve never done it on my own truck. Anything I should look out for in particular? I know that lock ring thing on top of the pump assembly is most definitely going to be rusted beyond belief is there anything I can do...

    Won't stay running....

99 Eddie Bauer 4.0 SOHC with almost 220xxx miles. It starts up, runs for awhile, but then dies and doesn't want to start back up. Normally if I let it sit for awhile it will fire back up. It is NOT throwing a check engine light. I have been hearing a rattle from underneath at idle, I thought it...

2020 Explorer 2.3 high pressure fuel pump

Hey guys and gals, This is my first post here so let me introduce myself. My name is Weston and I live in Las Vegas. I recently purchased a 2020 Explorer XLT and almost immediately started to modify the car with what was out there (which wasn’t much). I started off with the snow performance...

    Gas guage is never correct.

So I have a 98 explorer which the fuel guage is always moving. I could have half a tank in it and it reads anywhere between full and 1/4 tank. I was thinking it was the anti slosh unit but I was wondering it was the whole fuel assembly. Any tips would help.

    Which fuel pump?

Details: 02 Explorer XLT V6 (not flex) Doing a search for a new fuel pump shows me one with a 7 pin connector and 1 with an 8 pin connector. I'd rather not drop the tank first to find out which one I need, and plugging the VIN number into an actual Ford Parts website doesn't seem to net me any...

ID Type of Fuel Pump (US, Mexican, Canadian)

First, a big thanks to everyone who shares their experiences and "lessons learned" here. 99.90% of the time I find my question is already answered, so I don't post much. I have a '98 Sport 4X4 assembled in the US that has treated me really, really well so I don't much to pass back. That...

2013 Ford Explorer Limited Fuel Leak

Bought my new 2013 Ford Explorer Limited in January 2013. I know the car is not broken in but every since I've received it, no matter how it was driven it gave me 14.2 mpg. Now it is April 2013 and I am starting to smell fuel leaking somewhere. I've taken it to the local ford dealership and...

89 BII Fuel Tank Lock Ring Compatibility

I am having a heck of a time sourcing a locking ring for my fuel sender unit. I had to take off work today b/c fuel pump went out last nite. I replaced it with one I bought earlier, but the ring was mangled in the process of getting it off. has anyone used a ring from a later model vehicle? What...
