Ive got an Line output Converter, to make RCAs for my amp, but i have to wire for the remote wire on the amp? Is there and easy wire i can tap into to use to turn the amp on and off? Ill be getting a new HU later but for now i need some more sound.
Thanks

Bump~ help me out guys

use a test light and test the wires on the radio harness and turn the key on and off. when you find the wire that switches on when you turn the key, tap into that wire. i noticed that you live in illinois, if you are anywhere near aurora/naperville, i can help you out.

When you get it working, want to let me know how the line out converter works for you? I am doing the same thing, and all I have to decided to do is to stay with the stock head unit and to get a converter, or to just replace it with one that has rca inputs and outputs.

I had subs wired in my 01 explorer sport for two days off the stock head unit. I think it was the red/black wire that i used for the remote wire and ran wires from the rear speakers through a converter that changed them to RCA. It did work, but the sound quality wasn't good, it wouldn't always play all the bass notes and would just sound more like noise then actual music most of the time. So i just upgraded to an after market head unit and it made a major difference in sound, from the sub as well as the speakers. So i would suggest to upgrade to a new head unit if you want it to sound good.

Yeah, think im going to ditch that idea and go for a new HU
