I am trying to install a Kenwood KDC-MP825 in my 2002 exporer limited. After I took out the factory radio, I was left with three red plugs in the dash, plus the antenna cord. I got a wiring harness from Best Buy (part 70-5700) that has three separate connectors - 1 connector I can't use because it only has two wires (mute and power antenna) - both of which I don't have.
The second connector is for amp/subwoofer (four wires), and the third connector is for all the main wiring - battery, ground, speakers, etc. Does anyone have a good idea of how I can ensure that my subwoofer stays connected? There are two RCA connectors on the kenwood for subwoofer.
Also - is there any way to keep the steering volume control connected to the new radio?
