I'm gonna give you the run down of my explorer. I bought it for 1500 in mint condition. The problem was bad timing chains. Which I pulled the motor and replaced and retimed myself along with a new torque converter. Once I started it made a tick in the lower block which I thought was rod bearings. It wasnt. I replaced them. It was a bent dip stick.
Now here's my problem. After six months of driving and a couple road trips. My head started clattering. I replaced the head and the problem still there. Now before I replaced the head it was starved of oil. I did two engine flush with deadpan and trans fluid. Brought oil back to the head. So I thought I might of toasted the original head. I didn't because once I replaced and retimed the new head the problem is still there. Put a new hydraulic tensioner in. Still nothing. I did check the oil restrictor hex buck next to the tensioner ther is oil coming out. Never completely took out. Oil seeped threw the threads. This is the driver side btw. Am I not getting enough oil pressure?
Check engine light - cam sensor. Changed and light still on. With also two misfire. It has no power with a really good idle
