sorry if I didn't see it but wheres the results of your fuel pressure test?

No results as I didn't check it with a gauge. It's getting plenty of fuel though.

Once I get this stupid spark plug hole fixed I'm poking a hole in the pipes before the cats and seeing what happens.

It'll be the cats just because I checked all that other bulls---- and ruined that hole.

well I had a fuel pump that was delivering fuel but the pressure would start at the right level then less than a minute after starting drop to under 10 PSI and it basically would only idle . Lots of weird codes and fuel trim numbers . It was at limit adding fuel like it had a massive vacuum leak but it just had no fuel pressure. It was pumping fuel but nowhere near the volume required.

My gauge was missing so I was chasing my tail looking at 20 other things until I decided to just buy a gauge and it revealed the issue instantly.

It was not a clogged filter it was at the pump

It only takes one glowing cat for one to remember lol
In my case moms car set tall grass on fire
Same problem loss of power will not go over 2k rpm etc
Drilled hole that I could have welded up and found my problem

Did you put the hole before or after the o2 sensor or does it matter?

How big of a hole?

I drilled a hole big as I cold but small enough to weld up easily
Just before the cat's

Appreciate it.

I ran it today, it was nice and quiet for about 2 minutes then started to stumble and the rattle started.

Not sure if my little impact is going to punch a hole in it or not but we'll see.

So I managed to get my sawzall wedged in there and sliced the pip between the cat and o2 sensor. It wasn't all the way through so I used a flathead and a hammer and got it wedged in there and pried on the screwdriver. Not a huge hole but still a hole.

RPM's went to 3k easily, I backed off the throttle then.

Took it around the block and got it up to 20 mph twice then it wanted to bog out by the time I got back to my driveway.

Ordering new cat system.

Side note I thought I had a flat tire while driving it. Hahahaha.

Appreciate all the help and guidance guys.I'll post up once I replace the cats completely.

Still not running.

Got new cats and 02 sensors. Cats where trashed.

Now I am up the creek.

I got an OEM stud extractor and have been heating these up. They will not budge.

Passenger side nuts came off fine and that new cat is installed and ready. Drivers side I am stalled on. I was thinking about removing the exhaust manifold then dealing with the studs on my bench but if I break one of those I will be out of luck.

Heat them red hot RED

It runs.

Feels like it's still missing a little bit. Drove it for about 40 minutes. Way more responsive but not "right".

So after putting 70+ miles on it since putting on the new cats and o2 sensors the issue is solved.

Now I just have to figure out why the one cat broke apart.

Thanks for input from you all.

ow I just have to figure out why the one cat broke apart.
As the old saying goes ....Shi. happens

Th he cats fall apart over time not your fault

Well something is going on.

I cannot find out any good information on what this means.

55 was red with an X before but is now yellow. 56 has stayed red.

Something is up but I am not sure what.

I'm not sure looks like a misfire events but not sure

This will be so much easier if you had forscan with a usb / Bluetooth adapter
Under$20 and forscan is free

It's definitely a misfire.

While I'm driving it never ever hesitates. While at idle in park and drive it misses. I can feel it.

Watching the live data on the scanner at idle at a light it's between 693 and 748.

I am going to swap the coil pack with a new one tomorrow. If it takes care of it I'll leave it alone if not I'll take it back and look elsewhere.
