03 5r55s in an 07?

I posted this question in the 06-10 sub-forum but don't think I hit the target audience so I thought I'd try it here. Can anyone tell me if a 5r55s from an 03 is a direct fit for my 07 with a 5r55s? If not, what issues might i run in to? Thanks in advance.

God probably knows. But, guessing here in the real world, I would measure the overall length of the 03 transmission, and compare that to my 07. If physically the same, it ought to fit.

02 up the same case other than some had driver side starter and some pass.side starter. May get lucky and have the correct OD ratio.
