03 Explorer Sport Brush guard on a 98 XLT?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a brush guard from an 03 Explorer Sport would mount up to my 98 XLT with no major issues? I found one for sale on Craigslist for a good price and I am thinking of picking it up. Not sure if there are any frame differences that will cause it not to mount up though. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Edit - Or worse case scenario - If that won't work, how about one from a Gen 1 explorer? I know I should just get the right kind for the right year, but I'm cheap lol

There are other manufacturers for second gen grille guards, but some have been discontinued and are usually about three to four hundred dollars more.
