Hi guys,
I seem to be dealing with some type of fuel tank venting issue on my '04 4.0L 4WD.
It hasn't thrown a code yet, but I just replaced the fuel pressure regulator that was throwing a code & all of the sudden it's leaking fuel from the tank inlet for no apparent reason. (Too much pressure in the tank, I believe.)
So, after a bit of investigation, I find the vaccume hose from the intake to the purge valve collapsed from too much vaccume. (Clog somewhere to the tank, I assume, or a bad purge valve.)
Does anyone have a Service Manual on this generation, so I can figure out how to test the components in this system?
Or, has anyone experienced a similar situation?
Thanks a bunch!
