welcome to EF! i feel like they are all controlled by some central module... something says BCM to me... perhaps check j_c's wirign diagrams

1996-2001 ford explorer / mountaineer workshop manual (5567 pages!)
Here are some wiring diagrams, though I don't know if they apply to all 95-01 model years. Come to think of it, I don't recall where they came from either (j/k, was ebesc0h0st before it got shut down), apparently I was a glutton for collecting them about 4 year ago, but they've been more useful...

so from a quick peek at least in 2nd gens, the BCM controls the windows, dash, but not sure how the radio fits into this though... perhaps someone esle has the answer!

Wondering if you found out the cause for this? My ‘05 explorer just did this today. Driving along fine then radio, gauges and windows quit. It kept running fine then a few mins later they started working again. They went off and on a couple times until I got home. Did you find out what it was in your case?
