05 explorer 5r55w 2-3 shift delay

Hi I scored a 05 explorer for dirt cheap at an auction the other day pretty solid overall I figured it would make a good junk hauler or winter beater for myself. it has 135,000 miles, no telling if those are city or highway miles though ha. first time driving it I realized why it prolly ended up at the repo auction the tranny is acting up a bit. I have some experience with shifting problems and replacing solenoids/valvebodies and this is the least extreme case I've encountered it doesn't seem that bad so hopefully it's nothing major. The two symptoms I've noticed is, a very slight delay when putting it in drive, not major but enough to make someone that knows cars notice. And The 2-3 shift is very slow, I decided to just let off the throttle when it goes to 3rd to avoid further damage, it shifts into 3rd ok when you let off the throttle but there's a huge flare if you stay on the throttle. rest of the shifts are fine, overdrive works. I did get a blinking overdrive light once I have yet to pull the codes. Haven't even looked at the fluid yet neither I'll report back with that tomorrow just hoping someone can give me some general advice for now. The last car with tranny problems I had was also a Ford, and it had no 3rd gear at all which I ambitiously tried to replace the solenoids only to find major clutch material debris in the pan and obviously the solenoids didn't help, even though two were in fact dead, it being driven with those dead solenoids apparently damaged it further. If it's solenoid related in this explorer hopefully I can sort it out before that becomes the case

The last car with tranny problems I had was also a Ford, and it had no 3rd gear at all which I ambitiously tried to replace the solenoids only to find major clutch material debris in the pan and obviously the solenoids didn't help, even though two were in fact dead, it being driven with those dead solenoids apparently damaged it further. If it's solenoid related in this explorer hopefully I can sort it out before that becomes the case
