06 Mounty, front end noise

Noise coming from the front while driving - a bit of humming while driving straight which gets gets louder when I'm turning right (whumpm whump, whump) and then humming when I'm turning left... I say it's the right CV, mechanic says replace wheel hub.

06 Mounty 4.6 AWD

Any ideas before I spend my money?

Sounds like a wheel bearing. If I remember correctly if the noise gets louder when you turn right it means the left wheel bearing is going because more weight is being shifted onto it. My 06 explorer left wheel bearing went at ~105,000 miles

that is something I have to look closer at then - don't wanna spend money twice replacing the wrong side
