07 EB Explorer Glass lift gate disengages

Anyone experience the glass lift gate randomly disengaging when driving? The interior light comes up and the visual on the dash lights up. Sure enough the glass is open. Is it electrical?

I noticed around the latch there is a sticky tape partially missing- any relation?

Any suggestions welcomed!

See If you can check the switch below the glass. Maybe it's stuck and on the bumps is closing the circuit for the glass relay ?
