1354e into 2wd ex question

I am going to start looking for parts for my 4wd swap and if I cant find a manual TC which are hard to find out here, then im gonna get a 1354e and I was wondering If I could hook up my own switch to the shift motor, then through a relay then to the battery, so I dont have to get a new ecu, harness, etc. Also until then can I shift into 4 high and 4 low without the motor?

You could get the "shiftster" it mounts on the back for easy manual engagement of the t-case, there is also another person selling a manual shifter kit for that t-case that the shifter comes up through the floor or you can use vice grips to switch the selector on the t-case.
