15" or !6"

I am just starting to shop for my new tire/rim combo. I've got 1.25" torsion keys + tt for the front, doing a re-arch/aal on the rear and a 3" bl. I want to run 33"tires. I really like the look of 305/70r16 but the stock rim is too skinny. the only rim I've found in the design I like that may work is 15x8" wide, 3.75" bs, -19mm offset. Which means I would look at 33x12.5r15 tires. I'm fine with stepping down an inch on rim size if theres no problems with hitting/rubbing the LCA or calipers etc... But my main question is all the tires I've looked at say 8.5-11" rim is recommended. Can I safely get away with a 8" wide rim? useing a 33x12.5r15 tire? Also will the BS/offset stated above be a good fit? Oh my Ex is a 2002 2dr Sport 4.0l 4x4.

You can fit 285/75/16's on the stock wheels, I have that size on my Sport Trac right now and actually getting new 33x12.50x15 GoodYear DuraTrac's mounted on Cragar Soft8's 15x8" with 4"b.s. tomorrow.

Will a 16x10", 4"BS, -38 offset rim fit? With 305/70R16 (33x12.5r16) tires? That's the only size I can find in a 16" rim in the 2/3 styles I am considering. Or would I be better off with the 15x8" rims?

Not totally sure but I'd say that would be way too wide and have serious rubbing and interferance with the rear of the front bumper and the rear of the front fender, inner fender and body.
