18 Vs. 20

Hi

I'm planning on changing the wheels of my eX, i dont want chrome wheels i like a something a little more classy, some big aluminun wheels like X5 or FX that i think looks really nice.

That way the look is litlle more OEM, than flashy chrome wheels, but i dont know what to get.

I want to know what are the pros and con about 18 vs 20 wheels, a does it worth go for the 20" instaed of the 18"

Thanks.

Smoother (not much) ride with 18 vs. 20. You can get a tire with more sidewall on an 18.
Both will look good.
It's really personal choice.

I'd go 20s. :)

What color is your truck?

You have to go 20s on an '02. Those things are pretty big. Plus, in 2 years your "new" 20's will be out and 24s will be in. So if you went 18s you'd be waaay outta date. :D :p:

Anything bigger than 20's on 02-05 eX just look that they dont fit, bigger is not always better. IMHO.

not to mention stopping power is GREATLLY REDUCED when up gradeing to such large diameters ...think about that before you go out and buy ;)

That's good to know cause my eX have some troubles with break, the pedal is to soft, and i dont find anything more to do to solve this problem.

true, my father had a 2006 tahoe and he put 22 davinchi's with toyo proxis tires....big freaking wheels overall with the tires on them and not to mention heavy .he had issues with his abs system activating to early which made the truck hard to finally stop and then there was highway speed driveing ..like stepping on the breaks while in bad traffic and pressing on the peddle and feels like the truck did not slow any ! scared him ,ended up selling them and lesson learned.( which kinda sucked because he gave me his stock rims to put on my colorado but had to give them back  ohhhh well lol )

i peronally would like to upgrade the wheels on my 94 to a 2006 style rim ,i think they are 17-18 inch rims ....but to go any bigger i would def be wery :salute:
