19' Ford Flex rims on 03 Explorer

Thinking about swapping out my 17's for some 19' Flex rims that a buddy is selling.

As far as I can tell this should be no problem--they should bolt right on.

Thoughts?

You have to make sure the center bore is the same diameter.If not you should get the hubcentric rings to make up the diff.Check with the Tire Rack guy here on this forum.

I think I would need rings since the center bore on the Flex rims is 67.1 and the Explorer is 70.5...

If your numbers are correct the wheels won't fit as the Flex bore is too small to fit the Explorer hub .You could have a machine shop bore them to the correct size.

You are absolutely correct...I had the numbers swapped in my head. The hub diameter is too large on Explorer's to accomodate these Flex rims. I did call Tire Rack and they told me Edge rims are 70.5 and would work fine but not the Flex...
