1990 Ford Aerostar RWD to E-4WD conversion.

Found donor vehicle for RWD to AWD swap. My Aerostar is a 1996 RWD. Will the 1990 K frame bolt to my 3.0 Aerostar? Both Aerostar's are short vans. This will be 1990 parts over to a 1996. I will keep my 3.0 V6. I will be lacking a transmission and will get a TCI AWD tranny. Any word on TCI appreciated.

It will work. A 3.0L or 4.0L 4 wheel drive transmission will work. The bellhousing is removable and can be swapped. I don't have anything positive to say about the TC28 transfer case. The one that used to be in my awd van was cracked, needing repair. Parts beyond a basic rebuild are hard to find and expensive when you do find them.

it was in hickory nc and has 200000 miles.1996?thats all i remember.
