ok, heres the deal, my starter solenoid's bolts were apparently stripped causing it to come loose, so while i was down there, i decided to just replace the whole unit. . . after successfully swapping the new starter/solenoid into the truck (which was late at night, as i had to leave town in the morning, lol)...i took my X out in the morning and...WOW! ...i have a feeling i may be making this up, as the following things, to my knowledge have no relation, or it may be placebo, jk but anyways i SWEAR my truck had regained its *balls* lol, like when i first bought it!! it was intense! and i SH*T you-all-not..when driving from ABQ to Clovis (about 300mi, more or less)..it only took HALF a tank of gas!! i take this trip very often, and am normally only left with a hair above E on the gas gauge, or maybe just a lil less then a quarter tank, depending on wind factors, etc....i was amazed!
but i also know that my truck always has more balls when cold started in the morn...well-known fact...so i took that into consideration, but am here to clarify with you great people...
so my main question i guess would be...is this all even POSSIBLE!? haha! better MPG's, more torque/hp with just a simple starter/solenoid replacement? or was it just the typical warm-up ECM mapping? anyone else ever experience this?
