I just got this this morning and its got a few things that dont work. First off, the 4x4 hub needs replacing. Also, The rear passenger side door only opens from the out side and i'm sure child lock is off, and the rear gate wont lock. Please let me know if these are common things, and if so, whats the best way to fix them. Also, I want to get a remote locking system for it and i'm interested in any ideas you guys may have on the best one to get.

I know this is "under the hood" but i didnt really know where to ask.

Thanks,

Jeff

I can tell you that the inside door handle needs to be replaced. 3 of my four are ready to go. When I first got it I thought my rear passenger was broken. I really have to pull it out all the way. Try that, I know it sounds dumb but my dad was sitting back there and couldn't get out. Some people are used to doors opening only after a little lift. I hear they wear out quite often.

I have had a 91 XLT 4x4 for a year now. Runs good. I have to use 92 or better octane quite frequently. If not it sometimes will surge and it definitly knocks with 87. So see if it makes a difference in yours. I noticed it when I really stepped on the gas, 87 knock knock knock, 92 or better vrrrrrrrrrrm. Big difference. I see you have the wiper on the back. Mine doesn't have that, maybe a option?

I have a computer chip, k&n filter, aftermarket radiator and gibson catback exhaust. These really make a difference. Performance and sound is great and the temp never gets over 1/4 inch.

That's all I got right now.

yeah, i oiled the door and it works fine if you pull all the way. Also, i've heard that some chips require higher octane, and that might be why yours doesnt like 87, mine seems to run fine with it. Anyways, thanks for the help.

Also, i think i got most of it fixed, but thanks if you were going to post a reply :)

Thanks, Jeff
