Please help I'm currently trying to find an answer on a 1991 Ford Ranger. We replaced the Starter, Starter Solenoid, and cleaned the Battery connections. Checked voltage 13 Volts at the Battery. Connected Voltmeter from one post to the other post on the Starter Solenoid and turned the truck over watch the transfer of 12.87 volts from one post to the other. Still only clicks once and won't start. Checked Ground from Battery to Body ohm was direct short or 0 ohms same for battery to engine. The trucks clicks once and won't tun over. The problem started when the truck was started in gear and with out the Clutch in causing the truck to lurch forward and then when trying to start after there was just a single click.
