Got her for $300. Exhaust pipe fell off muffler so the girl couldn't drive it....
Took the junk wheels and tires off and replaced with a set of $40 junkyard ones! Found a bills in the glove box dating to 2006 for complete tranny
rebuild $1600, 4 new gas shocks, ALL new brakes (rotors, calipers, drums, shoes, lines, master cyliner.
-2.9L V6 142k miles / A4LD / Electronic 4x4 THAT WORKS / RABS that doesn't / 3.73's /
I manage 17mpg city and 27mpg highway.
She lays some MEAN rubber too
This is what I've done so far:
Tuneup - ALL MOTORCRAFT - Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, Mobil 1, brand new battery, tranny filter, TranSynd synthetic fluid, fuel filter.
-Bumped timing to 14* (HUGE DIFFERENCE)
-Fixed fuel float
-Completely uncoated it for free (got 3 gallons from school!)
-Bedlined for free (school)
-$15 Ebay Silverstar Ultra's WOW
-Free ProNet
-Oldschool (NOS) free flow muffler into 3" side exit
-Pioneer CD player, Sony Xplod door speakers, Mustang SVO premium rears
Happening soon:
-Grease rear slip yoke (clunk)
-Build 10" sub box and hookup amp
-Put the power locks back in (P.O. took them out ?)
-Finish brush guard and bolt on with foglights
-L/S rear carrier
