Thats the pocket for the Fuel Filter. The Brake lines are also in the same area.

.yea the fuel filter and fuel lines and brake lines is right there but it's not in the pocket.
.the little pocket i think it for bracing the transmission crossmember. it has some holes in it for the plastic brackets that hold the brake line and fuel filter.
.so i think it had a leak near there at some point and alot of grease got in these holes and caked the inside with dirt so when i couldn't get in there and clean the material.
.anyways i just nutted up and welded it , it smoked like a bitc* cause the grease was getting hot on the other side... oh well done now.. thanks guys:roll:
