1993 4dr explorer
im new to the forums so bare with me. and i would like to say thank u in advance for everyone that can help me out.

currently i have a 1993 explorer XLT with 4in body lift, 31x8.5 with a little rubing. bigger problem is that my front springs and rear leave springs are shot.

so im looking at doing a suspension lift and kill 2 birs with one big wad of cash.

im currently looking at the superlift 5.5in lift as a base to start from and go from there.

what else is out there that would eather be a better option or am i heading in the right drection.

money isnt an option and once i get a little more time i will put up a list of stuff ive got line up for my X. o ya and i havent purchased anything yet so my current plan can change.

thanks again

how are you rubbing 31's with 4" body lift? i fit 31's stock no lift no rub
but what i would do is take out the body lift and put a 5.5-6" lift from skyjacker or james duff with the longer radius arms and f250 shock mounts and make some sway bar disconnects for the front and remove the rear sway bar

like i said my stock suspension is shot it needs to be replaced

The superlift 5.5 won't replace your rear springs, so if they are shot, you need to plan to add new springs to the package. It's not the strongest TTB lift and the coils are hella stiff, but it'll do the trick.

I would look at the Duff 6" lift as well. It's pretty sweet and well built and worth saving your cash for.

The skyjacker 6" is also pretty tough, but the duff is the complete package. The superlift will crack with some abuse.

lift kit bought

called up james duff and asked about there stage 3 5.5-6inch lift kit for 91-94 explorer. they have the kits stocked for retail now so i went and bought it! 2082$ including shipping from TS to WA

everett/Millcreek/bothell area

i got the kit at my house last monday. now im just waiting on an empty garage to get started!

Hmm, new kiddies to play with

Git er dun, it's time for snow wheelin :roll:

you wont be disappointed in the Duff kit!

from experience however you will need to make a trip to the hardware store, i had to change lengths on a couple of the bolts for the frame bracketry.
