Replacing front brake pads, drivers side caliper piston is stuck and wont go back in with C clamp.....suggestions??? Help!!!

replace it with one from autozone - theyre only like $16 after core deposit. if you actually do have a stuck caliper, chances are that you now are the proud owner of a warped rotor. if thats the case, u will need a new rotor, caliper and pads.

EDIT - You shouldnt push directly on the piston with a c-clamp. use the old pad between the clamp and piston to avoid damaging it. the piston is ceramic and damages easily.

Do you have the bleeder screw open, is it clogged??? Just checkin

it should still retract with the bleeder screw closed. was it sticking before? were you getting pulsation in your brake pedal? if so, then youre gonna need that new rotor/caliper/pads. Might be that your flex hose is deteriorating, causing the internal rubber to form a "flap" that can create a one-way "check valve" so that pressure can go one way, but not the other. so check your flex hoses, caliper and rotor. it could be either the caliper is bad, or a bad flex hose, both of which will destroy a rotor is left unchecked(the excess heat the dragging brake pad causes will cause the rotor to warp)
