A couple of vacuum line questions on a 1994 Aerostar 3.0L 2WD. I’ve searched with no luck.

There is a long vacuum hose that runs from the Purge Canister (located under the air cleaner) up to the INLET side of the Purge Canister Solenoid (located to the right of the manifold up on the driver’s side). Anyone know where on the manifold the vacuum line from the OUTLET side of that Purge Canister Solenoid connects to?

Also, there’s a really narrow piece of pre-formed white plastic tubing that bends at all kinds of angles that connects on one side to the middle of a round silver thing on the passenger side of the engine. It kind of looks like the fuel pressure regulator or EGR valve, but it can’t be either as it has no other outlets. Anyone know what that silver thing is called and where the other side of the pre-formed tubing goes?

Thanks!

There is a vacuum routing diagram under the hood. The vacuum tree is located on the top driver's side intake manifold. The hard plastic tube you're referring to sounds like the one going into a check valve, and then a servo piston for the A/C-Heat control system. Your vents will remain stuck in the defrost position if that line cracks or leaks.

Thanks. That would be the same vacuum routing diagram that I've seen mentioned time after time but STILL ignored. Duh. Sorry about that.
