1994 explorer beginning mods

i have a 1994 explorer xlt 4WD.
Besides the addition of larger tires, what are some cheap mods i can do to it for mileage, and offroading purposes.

Well millage and offroading are two different things. Aside from changing the entire engine the first gen cannot get good gas millage.

sorry to bust your bubble scooby doo but i get great mileage and still offroad
