Fog lights don't have juice, but the switch does both in and out. Cannot find wiring to trace or if there is a relay somewhere in the line. Any thoughts?

check your switch you will need to take it out and take your wires loose and touch the wires together, if this does not work check your fuse in the fuse box,
If the fuse is good check the connection to the lights. also check and make sure they are grounded really good,,,If the ground is not leading back to the battery ,,try grounding to the bumper because this is an excelant ground.....

I have used a test light on both sides of the switch and found power but cannot find any at the lamps using the test light. Is there a relay that is located somewhere or atleast a hint of where the wiring is routed. I cannot find the wiring on any diagrams.

ok look at the back side of the lights follow the wire ( the fog Lights will be connected to the head light wiring.....( If you do not find a fuse between the fog light and the head light wiring than you must not have a fuse ...... how ever I was just wandering does the regular low beams work because your fog lights only turn on when the low beams are turned on they will not work with the high beams and you may also want to check and make sure your head light dimer switch is not messed up and stuck on high beams .......

haha Im sorry if im confusing you
hope this helps

Have a helper turn the fogs on & off while you stand in front of the X w/the hood up and listen for the relay clicking. If it clicks find it and trace the wires from there. If it doesnt click you need to find out where the relay is and replace it. On Gen. 2 X's its under the aircleaner box. However I dont know where the relay is on Gen. 1 like you have.
Any one who knows....Let us know.

Problem solved

I want to thank everyone for their response. Thanks to the suggestion of the above member, I was able to trace down the location of the relay and from there the wiring to the lights. Whoever did the wiring, had reversed the wires where the lights attached so that was why I was unable to get a reading. I was trying to get a reading from the ground wire. I found that there was juice to the lights, but the insides of the lights were all rotten. Got to put in new lights. Again thanks to all.
