I bought an adapter off Amazon and ran into the same problem. The harness for the power fit perfect, but the one for the speakers wasn't even close. Best buy had the same harness as the one I bought off Amazon.
I ended up cutting the plug off ( vehicle end) and used crimp butt connectors for each individual speaker wire. The colors didnt match up so I would pick one wire and touch it with another until I got sound from a speaker. Don't connect the wires until you determine which speakers they all go to, that way you only hear sound from one speaker at a time.
I'm pretty sure that's not the legit way to do it, but my speakers sound fine. Just in case you dont get another answer.

I bought the scosch (sp?) Adapter from walmart, and it had the correct plugs in it. You can also just use butt splice connectors for the speaker wires, just have to look up the correct wire colors. Shouldn't be too big of a deal. Good luck with it!
