1994 outer U-joint

I need to replace my outer U-Joint because it is making a vibration/ rubbing noise particularly when the wheel is turned. It is not the brakes and it is not the bearing pack (manual 4x4 hubs). I have heard it is difficult to do this and I don't have anyone to help me. Does anyone know a ball park cost at a mechanic shop? particularly in colorado springs?

I can't tell you what book time is, but I can say I don't think your on the right track.

The u-joints up front do not turn unless your in 4x4 OR you have the hubs locked in.

Therefore I don't think you should have someone change the u-joints. If you need to take it in, have them diagnose the noise first...
