1995 Aerostar. E-4WD with a broken front differential.

I found a great deal on a 1095 ford Aerostar ext with the E4WD system. Everything works great but the front diff is broken! He had been using it to tow his lawn mowers for work! I am ready to take on the task of finding and replacing the diff if it's not going to kill me or run my pockets dry first!

Is it fairly easy to replace?
I have access to shop tools and a lift!

Any forums or YouTube videos you guys can help me out with!

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the Aerostar section. You might be able to repair the differential instead of replacing it. Did you open it up to see what is wrong? Most of the time it's the ring & pinion gear set.

Replacing the center section as a unit would be the easiest. I'd swap in a true dana 35 in place of the hybrid. People have done it, search for write ups.
