I sold my v8 mountaineer and got this guy, I'm getting classic rod plates so I don't have to smog. It's got a lot of miles (190,000) but runs great, ac is ice cold, etc. Has billet specialties staggered rims (8" rear, 6" front) and street scene mirrors.

Can you get those plates on such a new car? I thought a car had to be at least 25 years old to have antique/classic plates... Also those types of plates are for vehicles that are driven little, like a few thousand miles a year max, as antique plates are mainly just to get to and from car shows etc. thats my understanding anyway i may be wrong.

Truck sounds cool though, any pics of it?

There's one, the pics are better than in person but the sheet metal is straight. The clearcoat is oxidized bad and delaminating in spots. Classic rod in Vegas is 20 years, classic is 25, antique is something more. How many leaves did these trucks have? It sits a little too level to be stock, has 3 leafs in the rear and 1.5" exposed thread above the u bolt nuts.

What are some good mods that won't kill mileage? All I've done so far was remove the tube inside of the intake resonator.

Thanks for the relocation. I did find out that there are belltech shackles and springs on the rear and some kind of aftermarket springs on the front as well. My overall goal is to wring out as much power while maintaining the mileage before getting a tuner or going turbo (I have an 88 notchback turbo lima). I've heard the cat and stock muffler and tiny catback pipe really impedes power and mileage?
