1996 Engine Swap

I've always wanted to rebuild an engine. Next year I'll finally have the time and money to do it. I have an Explorer Sport 1996 with 122k miles. I want to put in a v8. I'm wondering what engines would be good to rebuild and swap in? This will be my first engine rebuild, so any tips are helpful.

I'd buy a crashed or clappped out 96 or 97 V8 Explorer. It's got just about the best V8 Ford ever build with a great transmission.

The doner will have every nut, bolt, bracket and part you'll need for the swap.

^^^what he said. plus it will have the trans as well. yours wont bolt up to a v8. also it will have all the wiring and other parts you will need
