1996 Explorer Popping noise from front end. Help

I have had this popping noise from the front end for awhile now. Whenever is brake is engaged and released there is a loud popping noise, and a slight vibration from the brake pedal. At first i thought it was my calipers, i was due for brakes so last week i put on new calipers, rotors, and pads. The noise is still here.... any ideas?

another thing is i cant seem to get the popping when in 2nd gear... almost seems like a transmission problem now.
